POSITION: Pastor of Worship
MINISTRY TEAM: Worship Team, Lead Team
WORKING RELATIONSHIP: Supervised by Executive Pastor
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: College Degree—Master’s Degree preferred
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITY:
Lead a comprehensive worship ministry at the Hodges Campus and provide direction for worship leadership at other campuses.
SPECIFIC ASSIGNMENTS:
- Lead an effective and growing worship ministry that aligns with and supports the mission of Chets Creek Church.
- Recruit and equip the worship and tech teams by enlisting, developing, and discipling volunteers.
- Work closely with the Lead Pastor in planning and leading engaging weekly worship services and all other special worship services.
- Coordinate elements of the worship service including songs, videos, announcements, baptism, Lord’s Supper, etc.
- Assist other church staff in helping to provide worship training, staffing, and experiences for all age groups. Supports Kids and Student worship experiences. Provides worship and A/V support for special events, weddings and funerals.
- Coordinate worship and tech team for Celebrate Recovery weekly Monday gathering at Hodges.
- Supervises paid worship and tech staff at the Hodges Campus.
- Develops and administers the worship ministry budget at Hodges.
- Responsible for care, maintenance and improving all worship venues throughout the church including sound, lighting and audio-video equipment.
- Build a healthy worship and team culture through strong systems, engaging worship experiences, and developing and discipling healthy volunteers.
- Communicate with volunteers to make sure they have training, resources, and tools needed to serve in their role.
- Utilize tools (such as Playback, Planning Center, and ProPresenter) to support our worship services.
- Coaches and assists the worship leaders at other campuses in developing their worship teams and environments.
- Works with Campus Pastors to supervise and support worship staff at all campuses.
- All other duties as assigned by the Executive Pastor or the Lead Pastor.
