Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Technical Director to lead the audiovisual and media production efforts within a vibrant Christian church community. This role is pivotal in shaping the visual and media experience that enhances worship, outreach, and community engagement. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for excellence in video, photography, and media production, combined with a heart for ministry and spiritual growth. As a key leader on our team, you will oversee all technical aspects of live services, special events, and media content creation, ensuring seamless execution that inspires and connects our congregation.
Description
- Lead the planning, setup, and operation of all audiovisual equipment for weekly services, special events, and outreach initiatives.
- Manage live video production including camera operation, switching, and streaming to various platforms to ensure high-quality broadcast experiences.
- Oversee post-production editing of videos using industry-standard software such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, and Adobe After Effects to craft compelling visual stories.
- Coordinate with ministry teams to develop multimedia content that aligns with sermon series, church campaigns, and community outreach efforts.
- Maintain and troubleshoot all AV equipment including cameras, lighting, sound systems, and projection hardware to ensure optimal performance.
- Train and supervise volunteers and staff in the use of media equipment and software like Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Adobe Creative Suite tools.
- Stay current with emerging media technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance worship experiences and church communications.
- Experience mixing front of house sound required
Preferred Qualifications:
· Must possess a strong knowledge of acoustic systems and experience in live production (camera operation, switching, theatrical lighting, and audio)
· Experience operating audio and video equipment is required
· Previous management experience of related audio and video volunteer technicians
· Proficiency in ProPresenter, Ableton, and Dante
