This is a full-time position offering professional growth potential. We are seeking individuals who are energetic, motivated, and technically proficient to join our collaborative office environment.
In this role, individuals participate in the conceptual design and provides full support through the entire project of TK-14 school, theater and/or church project types. Individuals are expected to independently apply advanced architectural concepts and designs.
Individuals in this role will work directly with project management or project architect and will coordinate with consultants, other architects, and staff. Individuals will develop and represents lead technical viewpoint on projects. This role is typically responsible for larger, more complex projects and assists with production & planning of drawing set. Also coordinates with specification writer for product selection & requirements.
This position requires partial in-office presence and ability to attend local jobsite in-person meetings/events to meet project demands.
Responsibilities may include but not be limited to:
- Work with project team on various phases of projects from conceptual design through construction administration.
- Produce design and construction drawings in Revit format.
- Manage own schedule and workload, completing tasks assigned in a timely manner.
- May provide technical guidance to less experienced staff.
- Will be required to attend job site visits to perform CA task and in-person project meeting
Requirements:
- Bachelor or Master of Architecture from an accredited school
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in an architectural office required.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Revit, including Architectural Construction Cloud (ACC), AutoCAD, Sketchup, Photoshop, InDesign skills are also appreciated.
- 3 years’ experience producing project details and providing code analysis for TK-14 school, theater and/or church project types.
- Experience with TK-14 school, theater and/or church construction in California
- Experience with Division of the State Architect.
- Must possesses strong design, written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with sustainable building systems such as LEED BD+C or LEED for homes or Green Point Rating are a plus.
- Means and ability to travel to job sites on a regular basis required. Valid driver’s license and insured personal vehicle preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
The pay range for this role will be $80,000 - $105,000 DOE. HKIT Architects offers eligible employees a rich benefit package including medical, dental & vision insurance, life, LTD & STD insurance, FSA and 401k plans.
