Job Description:
Celebration Lutheran Church is seeking a part-time Office Administrator to support the day-to-day operations of our church. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys both administrative work and creative communication.
The Office Administrator plays a key role in church operations, weekly communications, and worship preparation, helping ensure everything runs smoothly for staff, volunteers, and the congregation.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support
- Manage church calendar and coordinate weekly schedules
- Maintain organized digital and physical records
- Update member information in church database
- Order and manage office and ministry supplies
- Provide general administrative support to pastor and ministry leaders
Communications & Media
- Prepare and send weekly church email updates and announcements
- Create PowerPoint slides for weekend worship services
- Post and manage content on social media platforms
- Update and maintain the church website
- Respond to phone, email, and online inquiries in a timely manner
Worship & Ministry Support
- Coordinate weekly volunteer schedules
- Prepare weekly prayer lists and internal communications
- Assist with logistics for special services and events
Qualifications:
- Experience in administrative support, office management, or similar role preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Canva
- Familiarity with social media and basic website management
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality
- Alignment with the mission and values of a Christian church
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):
- Experience with church management software
- Experience with presentation software (PowerPoint or ProPresenter)
- Basic graphic design skills
