Purpose Statement
The Associate Pastor/Director provides leadership and support to Ministry Directors. This could include Next Gen (birth-young adults), Worship, Production, Service Logistics, etc. as well as Creative and Church Communications. They work closely with the Lead Pastors to ensure alignment with the church's vision and mission. This person primarily develops leaders by coaching, developing, and empowering ministry leaders to thrive spiritually, strategically, and operationally. They help set goals, create healthy systems, and strengthen communication across all ministry areas to ensure excellence in ministry. This person is a relational, organized, and spiritually grounded leader who loves helping others grow in their walk with Christ and step into the fullness of who He created them to be.
Experience
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and relational communication
- Proficiency with Google Suite, Planning Center, and Asana
- Ability to implement and steward leadership vision
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently
- Prefer previous speaking experience
Core Responsibilities
- Coach and support Ministry Coordinators through regular communication and accountability
- Partner with the Lead Pastors to align ministry strategy and execution with church mission & vision
- Develop leaders through training, mentoring, and ongoing feedback
- Help ministries set goals, measure wins, and improve systems for effectiveness
- Strengthen unity and collaboration across ministries and campus culture
- Oversee key ministry rhythms (planning, calendars, meetings, and major events)
- Identify and develop new leaders to build strong teams and sustainable growth
- Ensure ministries operate with excellence, care, and clear communication
- Support problem-solving and decision-making for ministry teams, helping remove barriers and create clarity
- Champion the spiritual health, team health, and leadership culture of the campus ministries
- Assist with pastoral care and speaking
Qualifications
- A growing relationship with Jesus and passion for the local church
- Experience leading leaders and developing teams
- Strong coaching leadership with excellent communication skills
- Strategic thinker with strong follow-through and organization
- Collaborative and able to work closely with the Lead Pastors and leadership team
- Proven ability to build healthy teams, resolve conflict, and strengthen culture
- Alignment with the mission, vision, and values of One Life Church
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and key church events
- Associate or bachelor degree from Bible College is preferred. If the applicant does not have a Bible college degree and they are hired, we will discuss future Bible college enrollment requirements.

This position reports to one of the Lead Pastors and serves as a member of the Directional Leadership Team (DLT) of One Life Church.
