Free Chapel is looking for a Video Producer to join our creative team!
This position plays a vital role in communicating the vision, culture, and message of the gospel and our church across our campuses, broadcast outlets, digital channels, and special events. The ideal candidate is an end-to-end filmmaker and natural storyteller who can independently guide a project from blank page to final export, originating fresh concepts, writing scripts, directing talent, shooting cinematic footage, and executing polished post-production.
The Video Producer must bring equal parts imaginative vision and technical craftsmanship. We are looking for someone who excels at developing creative treatments, crafting compelling narratives, operating modern cinema cameras, designing intentional lighting, and delivering emotionally engaging videos that connect deeply with audiences.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ideate, pitch, and develop creative concepts, treatments, scripts, and storyboards for church initiatives, testimonies, service openers, promo campaigns, and broadcast features.
- Write engaging scripts, interview questions, and story arcs that clearly communicate ministry vision and inspire action.
- Take complete ownership of video projects from concept to final delivery, including pre-production planning, filming, editing, color grading, and sound mixing.
- Conduct and direct interviews with a strong narrative focus, drawing out authentic, emotionally compelling testimonies and soundbites.
- Operate modern cinema camera packages with deep expertise in composition, exposure, lens selection, frame rates, and dynamic movement.
- Design and execute professional lighting setups for studio environments, field shoots, interviews, and creative sets.
- Edit dynamic, well-paced videos tailored for weekend services, digital platforms, social channels, and broadcast distribution.
- Enhance stories through intentional music selection, sound design, audio cleanup, and color grading.
- Collaborate with ministry leads and creative directors to ensure every piece aligns with Free Chapel’s voice and visual identity.
- Manage and care for church-owned camera, lighting, audio, and grip equipment.
- Manage multiple production timelines simultaneously while consistently hitting deadlines.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Professional experience as an end-to-end video producer, visual storyteller, cinematographer, and editor.
- Demonstrated ability to originate creative concepts, write treatments/scripts, and storyboard visual ideas from scratch.
- Exceptional narrative storytelling instincts with a deep understanding of pacing, emotional resonance, and audience engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to take full ownership of a video project through every stage of production.
- Extensive hands-on experience operating modern digital cinema camera systems (e.g., Sony Cinema Line, RED, Canon Cinema).
- Demonstrated mastery of professional lighting setups, light shaping, continuous fixtures, and grip gear.
- Advanced proficiency in Premiere, Resolve and Creative Cloud.
- Strong practical knowledge of field audio recording, lavalier/boom techniques, and audio finishing.
- Strong communication, organization, and collaborative skills in high-energy production environments.
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends, evenings, church conferences, or travel as production requires.
- A professional demo reel or portfolio showcasing creative concepts, writing/storytelling, cinematography and editing.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Motion graphics and/or visual effects (After Effects).
- Creative writing, copywriting, or documentary scriptwriting.
- Advanced color grading and finishing.
