Trinity Klein Lutheran Church is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Nursery Worker to provide a safe, nurturing, and welcoming environment for young children while their parents participate in worship, Bible study, or other church activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and loving care to infants and young children.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming nursery environment.
- Supervise children at all times and respond appropriately to their individual needs.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities, play, and conversation.
- Comfort children and assist with feeding, diapering, and other basic needs as appropriate.
- Follow all church policies and procedures related to child safety and supervision.
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with parents and church staff.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding children and families.
- Report any safety concerns, incidents, or unusual circumstances to the appropriate staff member.
Qualifications
- Previous experience caring for infants and young children preferred.
- Must be dependable, patient, responsible, and comfortable working with children.
- Ability to provide a warm and caring environment for children and families.
- Must be willing to follow all church child-safety policies and procedures.
- Must successfully complete required background screening and child-safety training.
Schedule
Part-time / As Needed
Primarily during Sunday worship services and other scheduled church activities. Additional hours may be available based on church programming and events.
