Position Summary
Revol Church is seeking a called, energetic, and relational Children’s Pastor to provide spiritual and organizational leadership for Revol Kids, serving babies through fifth grade. This pastor will create safe, engaging, age-appropriate environments where children encounter Jesus, learn Scripture, worship freely, pray boldly, and grow in faith. The ideal candidate will also equip parents, recruit and develop volunteers, and build a ministry culture marked by excellence, joy, safety, and sensitivity to the Holy Spirit.
Key Responsibilities
· Spiritual leadership: Shepherd children, families, and ministry volunteers through prayer, biblical teaching, pastoral care, and personal example.
· Weekend ministry: Plan and lead excellent Sunday experiences for babies and toddlers, preschool and kindergarten, and elementary-age children.
· Curriculum and discipleship: Select, prepare, and evaluate biblically sound, Spirit-sensitive, age-appropriate curriculum and activities.
· Volunteer development: Recruit, screen, train, schedule, coach, and appreciate a healthy team of teachers, assistants, worship leaders, check-in volunteers, and room leaders.
· Parent partnership: Communicate consistently with parents, provide practical faith-at-home resources, and help families navigate spiritual milestones such as salvation, baptism, and child dedication.
· Safety and care: Maintain and enforce child-protection policies, secure check-in and check-out procedures, classroom ratios, allergy and emergency protocols, and incident documentation.
· Administration: Manage ministry calendars, volunteer schedules, supplies, classrooms, records, communication, and an approved annual budget with integrity and stewardship.
· Events and outreach: Lead children’s ministry involvement in churchwide services, seasonal gatherings, camps, outreach initiatives, and family events.
· Staff collaboration: Work closely with pastors, staff, and ministry leaders to support the overall vision, values, and direction of Revol Church.
· Leadership development: Identify and mentor emerging leaders, delegate meaningful responsibility, and build sustainable systems for ministry growth.
Qualifications
· A growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a life that reflects biblical character, humility, integrity, and spiritual maturity.
· Agreement with and willingness to support the beliefs, values, vision, and ministry practices of Revol Church and Assemblies of God denomination.
· A clear calling to children’s ministry and a genuine love for children, parents, and volunteer leaders.
· Demonstrated experience leading children’s ministry in a church or comparable ministry setting; pastoral or staff leadership experience is preferred.
· Strong communication, organization, team-building, conflict-resolution, and volunteer-management skills.
· Ability to teach Scripture creatively and clearly to children at different developmental stages.
· Comfortable serving in a contemporary, Spirit-filled ministry environment and working collaboratively with pastoral leadership.
· Availability for Sunday services, staff meetings, ministry events, and occasional evenings or weekends.
· Bachelor’s degree in ministry, theology, education, child development, or a related field is preferred; equivalent ministry experience will be considered.
· Ministerial credentials or willingness to pursue credentials are preferred.
· Successful completion of reference checks, a criminal background check, and all child-safety screening and training requirements.

· Parents trust the ministry and receive clear communication and meaningful support.
· Volunteers are equipped, scheduled reliably, spiritually encouraged, and developed into leaders.
· Classrooms and check-in areas are safe, welcoming, organized, and prepared before each service.
· The ministry grows in health, participation, and leadership capacity while remaining aligned with the church’s vision.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and the final scope of the role. Employment classification, schedule, benefits, paid time off, and any relocation assistance will be discussed during the interview process.
