About Living Stones Church
Living Stones Church is a gospel-centered church serving Katy and the West Houston community. We gather for worship at Tompkins High School and are united in building a Kingdom legacy by leading people to grow in faith, boldly proclaim the gospel, and faithfully live out the mission of Jesus Christ.
We believe students are not merely the future of the Church. They are an important part of the Church today. We also believe spiritual growth happens best through meaningful relationships with other believers. Because of this, we are seeking a full-time Youth Pastor and LifeGroup Director who will lead our ministry to students in grades 6–12 while also providing direction and support for our churchwide LifeGroups ministry.
The Opportunity
The Youth Pastor and LifeGroup Director will provide spiritual, relational, and organizational leadership in two important areas of Living Stones Church.
Approximately 75% of this position will focus on Youth Ministry. Junior-high students currently meet every Sunday morning during the church’s main worship service. High-school students participate in the main worship service with the rest of the church. On Wednesday evenings, junior-high and high-school students gather together for worship, biblical teaching, small groups, fellowship, and community.
The Youth Pastor will inherit an existing ministry with committed volunteer leaders and established Sunday morning and Wednesday evening programming. This is an opportunity to bring renewed vision, energy, spiritual depth, and direction to a ministry ready for its next season.
Approximately 25% of the position will focus on LifeGroups. Living Stones has an active LifeGroup ministry that provides biblical community and discipleship for adults in different stages of life. The LifeGroup Director will strengthen our existing groups, care for group leaders, help people find a place to belong, and develop systems that support healthy growth.
This position will report directly to the Lead Pastor and serve as an active member of the Living Stones staff and church family.
