Mosaic Church exists to help broken people become brand-new by teaching them to follow Jesus. We are looking for a passionate, high-capacity leader to help us create transformational weekend services that engage people far from God and lead them into authentic worship. The Worship Leader plays a key role in shaping weekend services at Mosaic Church by leading worship with excellence, developing and overseeing volunteer teams, and helping create environments where people can encounter God through music. This individual must be a team player with a servant's heart, possess strong relational skills, and be in complete alignment with the mission, vision, and core values of Mosaic Church. This role requires a unique blend of musical excellence, organizational ability, creativity, and technical awareness. The ideal candidate is an accomplished musician, strong communicator, thrives in a fast-paced environment, values teamwork, and maintains a positive, flexible, "whatever it takes" attitude. Chemistry with the Mosaic staff team and adherence to our staff cultural commitments is essential.
General tasks include but are not limited to:
- Leadership & Vision
- Recruit, onboard, develop, schedule, and care for volunteer musicians and worship team members.
- Provide ongoing coaching, training, and leadership development for volunteers and emerging worship leaders.
- Lead rehearsals with excellence, organization, and strong communication.
- Weekend Services & Events
- Collaborate with pastors, creative staff, and production team to design engaging, outward-focused worship services that align with the vision and direction of each series or event.
- Chart music and prepare Ableton sessions and multitracks for rehearsals and services.
- Lead worship for weekend services and special events.
- Music, Audio, Video, & Lighting Equipment
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure unity and alignment.
- Ensure all worship-related equipment is maintained and functioning properly and make recommendations regarding equipment replacements, upgrades, and future needs when necessary.
- Operations.
- Attend weekly planning and review meetings, department meetings, and all-staff meetings.
- Assist in overseeing and managing the annual worship budget.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Strong vocal and instrumental ability with the capacity to lead worship confidently and effectively.
- Ability to lead people spiritually, relationally, and musically.
- Preferred experience with Planning Center, Ableton, multitrack, click tracks, and modern worship technology.
- General knowledge of audio, lighting, and video systems for worship environments.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at one time.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to recruit, develop, and lead volunteer teams effectively.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to serve wherever needed.
- Ability to work independently while also functioning well within a collaborative team environment.
- Preferred undergraduate degree and three years' experience in a church setting.
