About the Role:
Trinity United Methodist Church in Columbus, OH is looking for a passionate and dedicated Sunday School Teacher to inspire and nurture the faith of our youngest members. Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, age-appropriate Sunday School lessons rooted in Biblical teachings - curriculum will be provided
- Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment for children
- Incorporate interactive activities, storytelling, and crafts to reinforce scripture and Christian values
- Participate in church events, programs, and teacher training as needed
- Model Christ-centered behavior and serve as a positive spiritual role model
Requirements:
- Christian faith with a commitment to United Methodist values and beliefs
- Prior experience in teaching or childcare preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children and families
- Patient, compassionate, and enthusiastic about faith formation
- Must pass a background check in accordance with church safety policies
- Reliable and punctual with a consistent Sunday availability
