Cornerstone Community Church is seeking a Next Gen Worship Coordinator to help lead and develop worship teams within our High School, Middle School, CCS chapels, and Young Adults ministries.
This role exists to create engaging, Christ-centered worship environments for the next generation by leading worship, scheduling teams, developing volunteers, and partnering with ministry leaders to disciple students and young adults through worship.
Reports To: Worship Pastor
Required ministry times include Tuesday night youth, Wednesday night young adults, CCS chapels, and Sunday morning middle school. Additional evenings, weekends, holidays, camps, retreats, and special events may be required.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead worship in Next Gen environments as scheduled.
- Schedule worship teams for High School, Middle School, CCS chapels, and RealLife Young Adults.
- Plan and lead rehearsals for assigned teams.
- Manage Planning Center for assigned services, songs, teams, and schedules.
- Recruit, train, and develop student and young adult worship volunteers.
- Assist with auditions, onboarding, and coaching for new team members.
- Help identify and raise up student and young adult worship leaders.
- Communicate regularly with the Worship Pastor, Youth Pastors, Young Adults Pastor, and CCS chapel leaders.
- Help build a healthy, engaging, and spiritually mature worship culture within Next Gen ministries.
- Support worship for special events, worship nights, camps, retreats, chapels, and holidays as needed.
- Partner with production teams to help ensure services and rehearsals are prepared and executed with excellence.
- Provide pastoral care, encouragement, and discipleship to worship team members.
Qualifications
- Growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Cornerstone Community Church.
- Ability to lead worship vocally and/or instrumentally.
- Experience serving on or leading worship teams.
- Ability to lead rehearsals and develop musicians and vocalists.
- Strong communication, organization, and follow-through.
- Familiarity with Planning Center or willingness to learn.
- Ability to work well with students, young adults, volunteers, parents, and ministry leaders.
- Pastoral heart for discipling the next generation.
- Teachable, dependable, relational, and flexible.
- Willingness to serve as part of a larger worship and ministry team.
Preferred Skills
- Experience leading worship in youth, young adult, chapel, or student ministry environments.
- Ability to arrange songs for developing musicians and vocalists.
- Basic understanding of worship technology, tracks, click, cues, and stage flow.
- Experience recruiting, training, and developing volunteer teams.
- Ability to coach young worship leaders with both musical and spiritual maturity.
Expectations
The Next Gen Worship Coordinator is expected to model spiritual maturity, humility, preparation, and faithfulness. Regular church attendance, small group participation, and faithful giving are expected.
This role requires someone who is both musically capable and pastorally minded, with a desire to help students and young adults encounter Jesus and grow as worshipers.
