LIBERTY CHURCH TAVARES: Position Overview
The Worship Leader serves as a spiritual and ministry leader who helps create environments where people can encounter God through worship. This individual will lead worship for Liberty Church, Liberty Students, and Liberty Christian Preparatory School chapels while developing worship team volunteers and supporting the overall mission of the church. The ideal candidate will demonstrate spiritual maturity, strong leadership, a servant's heart, and a passion for helping people grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. This is more than a position—it is a calling to serve the local church and invest in the next generation.
Primary Responsibilities
Worship Leadership
- Lead worship during weekend services, student gatherings, school chapels, and special events.
- Plan worship sets that align with the vision, values, and theology of Liberty Church.
- Introduce new songs and worship experiences that engage the congregation and support the teaching ministry.
- Work closely with church leadership to create meaningful worship gatherings.
Team Development
- Recruit, develop, schedule, and care for worship team volunteers.
- Invest in team members through discipleship, encouragement, mentoring, and rehearsal preparation.
- Help create a healthy, spiritually vibrant worship culture.
- Promote unity, excellence, and servant leadership within the worship ministry.
Technical & Service Support
- Assist with ProPresenter, Planning Center, and other worship-related systems.
- Support worship and production needs for services, chapels, and ministry events.
- Collaborate with production volunteers to ensure services are organized and executed with excellence.
School & Student Ministry Support
- Lead worship during Liberty Christian Preparatory School chapels as assigned.
- Participate in student ministry gatherings and special events.
- Serve as a positive spiritual influence and role model for students and families.
Ministry Leadership
- Support the vision and direction of Liberty Church.
- Participate in staff meetings, ministry planning, and church-wide initiatives.
- Serve where needed and contribute to the overall health and effectiveness of the church.
- Model a lifestyle of worship, integrity, humility, and spiritual growth.
Qualifications
Spiritual Qualifications
- A growing and vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ.
- A clear calling to church ministry and worship leadership.
- A lifestyle that reflects biblical character and spiritual maturity.
- Agreement with the mission, values, and beliefs of Liberty Church.
Leadership Qualifications
- Proven experience leading worship vocally and instrumentally.
- Ability to lead and develop volunteers effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude, teachable spirit, and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work collaboratively with church staff, volunteers, students, and families.
Technical Qualifications
- Familiarity with Planning Center, ProPresenter, and worship ministry technology.
- Basic understanding of sound, lighting, and production systems.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
Schedule & Expectations
- Full-time participation in weekend services, student ministry gatherings, school chapels, staff meetings, rehearsals, and ministry events.
- Flexibility to serve during evenings, weekends, and special events as ministry needs require.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, preparation, and ministry excellence.
- Understand that ministry leadership is a calling that requires flexibility, initiative, and a servant's heart.
