DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION
The Office Manager is a part-time non-exempt employee, works closely with and reports on a daily basis to the Pastor/Head of Staff, and is accountable to the Session. This person oversees daily operations of the church office, acting as the central hub for communications marketing, scheduling, and clerical support to the Pastor, paid staff, church lay leaders, and the congregation. Specifically, this position includes these regular responsibilities:
· Managing daily operation and correspondence which includes monitoring the phone and email communications, greeting visitors, answering inquiries, accepting deliveries, etc.
· Working directly with the Pastor to prepare church publications (weekly bulletins, eNews, mailings and worship preparations with all final drafts approved by the Pastor)
· Overseeing and maintaining all church office technology current including identifying ongoing improvements for website and office software
· Providing content for, and maintaining current, the church website and all social media
· Managing office supplies and equipment, supply requisitions
· Managing petty cash (with the Treasurer)
· Maintaining master calendar
· Maintaining all non-personnel church file storage
· Attending staff meetings as called by the Head of Staff
· Completing ad hoc tasks as requested by the Head of Staff
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
This position entails 4 days/week Tuesday through Friday, 7 hours /day, and a competitive salary. An annual review of performance and compensation is conducted by the Session.
