SUMMARY
The administrative assistant enhances administrative effectiveness by providing clerical support to the staff and ministry leaders. The administrative assistant operates at a complex clerical capacity and coordinates schedules and meetings, as well as provide general office support. Job duties vary by departmental assignment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties and functions, as outlined herein, are intended to be representative of the type of tasks performed within this classification. They are not listed in any order of importance. Assist front desk volunteers as needed; accepts all phone calls and walk-ins as a warm and welcoming representative of the parish, answering questions, and directing inquiries appropriately. Treats every visitor, caller, or service person with courtesy, cheerfulness, and respect
Coordinate and schedule meetings, meeting rooms, and equipment required for all meetings
Maintain and update the parish website, including calendar changes
Responsible for the preparation of parish bulletin; reviews, proofreads, and edits content ensuring all information is correct and up to date.
Create pre-Mass PowerPoint slides
Liaison with staff and ministries for promotional needs
Manage and order promotional materials
Coordinate parish social activities; Attending as requested
Attend staff meetings
Creates compelling graphics for social media using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Canva. Social media includes Website, Facebook, Instagram, and MyParish App
Work with ministries to ensure their events are promoted
Provide administrative and clerical support to the parish staff and ministry leaders
Perform other duties as assigned

CATHOLIC FAITH
Requires an appreciation and respect for the Catholic Church and its teachings. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent supplemented by two (2) or more years of previous progressively responsible experience in an office environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
