Position Overview
Hebron Presbyterian Church is seeking a detail-oriented and hospitable Administrative Assistant to support our daily operations and ministry staff. This individual serves as the "face" and "voice" of the church office, ensuring that communications are professional and visitors feel welcomed.
Key Responsibilities
Communications: Design and produce weekly worship bulletins, monthly newsletters, and special event flyers.
Office Support: Handle incoming phone calls and emails with professionalism and grace; manage church correspondence and mailings.
Administrative Tasks: Maintain the church calendar, update membership records, and assist the Pastor with various typing and filing projects.
Hospitality: Greet office visitors and provide basic information regarding church services and programs.
Qualifications
Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Publisher, and Excel are essential).
Communication Skills: Excellent typing, grammar, and proofreading skills.
Soft Skills: A warm, patient demeanor and the ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive congregational matters.
Experience: Prior office experience is preferred, but a heart for service is a must.
