We are looking for a new team member to lead and shape meaningful worship experiences that connect with both newcomers and longtime followers of Jesus. This leader partners with the Lead Pastor to plan and execute weekend worship services, guiding the worship team and fostering a culture of excellence and heart-centered praise. With a heart for the unchurched, the Worship Pastor helps create worship moments that invite participation, inspire devotion, and reflect the mission and vision of Lake Sawyer Church.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Plan worship sets that complement the sermon and church culture.
- Manage the weekend service flow through Planning Center Online, ensuring schedules and materials are clear and accessible.
- Execute student worship, helping equip and develop student worship volunteers.
- Officiate weddings, funerals, baptisms, and other ministerial functions as needed.
- Oversee department budget with stewardship and intentionality to support long-term ministry goals.
- Develop and execute outreach initiatives that engage the community through music and shared experiences, such as open mic nights, neighborhood concerts, or Christmas caroling in local parks.
- Develop and equip worship team volunteers.
- Model a Christ-centered life and provide pastoral care for volunteers and staff.
- Engage fully in staff life-prayer, meetings, leadership development, and community.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Lead Pastor.

WHO YOU ARE
- A gifted worship leader with a heart for people and a deep love for Jesus.
- Experienced vocalist and instrumentalist, comfortable leading in a church environment.
- Committed to personal spiritual growth and the spiritual health of the team.
- Collaborative, flexible, and a natural team-builder.
- A college degree in music or a related field; or three to five years of relevant experience in leading worship and team development.
- A champion of Lake Sawyer's mission, vision, and values.
PREFERRED PLUS
- Experience in church communications, including social media, graphic design, branding, or promotional content.
