POSITION SUMMARY
RPC Communications Coordinator assists the communications team to design and implement the messaging priorities church in fulfilling its mission. Communications Coordinator will also assist in the development and implementation of effective communications, media and design. This includes but is not limited to strategic oversight for church-wide communications, media, and marketing by assisting and implementing the brand messaging and ensuring the accuracy of its delivery by producing content with creativity and consistency.
Responsibilities include:
• Maintain consistent brand standards for RPC across all communication and marketing platforms
• Create and develop content for all church communications
• Daily maintenance of all communication platforms
• Oversee the development and implementation of mobile app, website, and social media to increase traffic, attendance, and to educate the church about what is happening
• Work collaboratively with all areas of ministry to provide creative and strategic communications
• Create and develop content for all events, ministry needs and weekend services.
• Design visual graphics
• Develop, implement, and evaluate the annual communications plan across our organization's three campuses
• Assist communication staff to develop graphics, videos, print, and other creative marketing content with a high standard of creativity, excellence, and effectiveness
• Assist with workflow and work assignments of the communications team to ensure effective collaboration and consistent quality work
• Communicate RPC's message to the outside community by developing creative strategies for local media and advertising.
• Assist in special projects and all other duties as assigned
• Assist in the development, distribution, and maintenance of all print and electronic collateral including, but not limited to, newsletters, brochures, collateral and websites. Ensure that new and consistent information (article links, stories, and events) is posted regularly and that we are optimized for key search engines. Track and measure the level of engagement within the network over time
EDUCATION, SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Bachelors Degree in marketing, public relations, or a related field preferred, or work experience commensurate to that, and three years of work experience in a related field
• Highly collaborative style; experience developing and implementing communications strategies
• Excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills
• Creative, detailed, and a relationship builder
