What You’ll Do

As our Social Media Coordinator, you won’t just run accounts — you’ll bring stories to life that connect people to Christ and to each other. Every responsibility is an opportunity to make ministry visible, inspire faith, and help thousands feel like they belong.

Content Strategy & Storytelling: You will shape the story by building and managing social media calendars that serve Christ Church, the CARE Center of NJ, the Impact Ministries Training Center, and Belong Group. Every post you create will be timely, purposeful, and rooted in a cohesive, Christ-centered voice that makes people feel seen, known, and invited.
Creative Content Creation: You’ll capture and produce photos, videos, reels, graphics, and live event coverage that showcase testimonies, community life, and ministry impact. From behind-the-scenes moments to major events, you’ll create content that’s visually compelling, on-brand, and faithful to Christ Church’s values — content people actually want to share.
Campaigns that Inspire Engagement: You will design imaginative campaigns that support sermon series, outreach initiatives, and seasonal programs. Your work will spark interaction, grow reach, and strengthen connections — not just boosting numbers, but building a digital community rooted in faith.
Celebrating Wins with Insight: You’ll track engagement, monitor trends, and prepare regular reports that don’t just measure numbers but celebrate ministry impact. You’ll highlight wins, uncover opportunities, and point the way toward even greater Kingdom influence.
Collaboration & Equipping: You will work hand-in-hand with ministry leaders, staff, and volunteers to align messaging. Beyond that, you’ll equip and guide others, helping their contributions shine while ensuring everything reflects the heart of Christ Church’s mission.
Creative Problem-Solving: You’ll balance multiple accounts and priorities with calm and innovation. Whether it’s troubleshooting technical challenges, navigating platform changes, or responding wisely to sensitive conversations, you’ll model grace under pressure while keeping ministry moving forward.
Safe & Trusted Platforms: You will ensure our online spaces remain safe and trustworthy by following Safe Church, copyright, and privacy guidelines — including overseeing photo/video release consents. Every story you share will honor the trust of individuals and families who call Christ Church home.
Inclusive & Accessible Presence: You’ll use captions, alt text, and thoughtful design choices that reflect the diversity and beauty of our church family and broader community. Your work will make our digital platforms welcoming, accessible, and inclusive for everyone.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is both creative and mission-minded, with the skills to match.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
At least 2 years of experience managing social media for a brand, organization, or ministry
Proficiency with Canva, CapCut, Sprout Social (or similar tools)
Proven skills in video, photo, graphics, and copywriting
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in faith-based or nonprofit organizations
Familiarity with SEO, paid advertising, or influencer partnerships

Personal Characteristics:

Creative storyteller who can connect faith and media
Strong collaborator with a servant’s heart
Flexible, resourceful, and calm under shifting priorities
Passionate about using digital platforms to make a Kingdom impact
Able to thrive in a hybrid role (mix of in-office and remote) and willing to attend key church events on evenings or weekends as needed
